Look with Me on Past with Present

“I face, by no choice of my own, every color, every shape,

everything of both your past and your present,

as found in this, my little world,

but never your future.

We disagree on what we see.

You often make a mountain out of a mole hill.

Also, the present, which we both face, may shock you,

but it will never shock me.

I do not make judgements. I do not give advice.

I do not even give an opinion. I remain neutral.

Do as you like.

My cousins are often caught up in the world of beauty and fashion,

along with the everyday mundane, but we are rarely concerned

with such things as beauty and fashion. We are more concerned

with the world of suspense.

You rely on me often, as often as you must. And must you must,

or you will eventually become a wreck.

But be of good cheer, just as every cloud has a silver lining,

so do I. If not for my silver lining,

you would see right through me,

which would be more of a problem for you than for me.”
